It feels like ages ago, but it’s only been a year since we launched the AgiNotes app officially. It was a dream come true! We had been preparing the tool for so long and finally we got it out and got to serve other agility handlers, and their dogs.
Our story in nutshell
If you are not familiar with how it all started, here’s the story in short.
A few years ago I, Mari, started to wonder why it was so hard to
follow an agility team’s development (particularly development of speed and clean run rate) and
focus on training the exact things that would take the team to the next level (or even know what those things are for each individual team).
First I just wanted to solve this for myself and my dogs, trying to avoid training too much but still getting results. The plans quickly grew and improved in cooperation with other agility enthusiasts and with other team members that joined AgiNotes (thank you everyone <3 ). Suddenly there were drafts of a tool that would also help others. Something that would switch focus from the quantity of training to quality. Something that would be easy to use and would help teams progress in the sport.
We are still in the beginning, but the idea remains the same with every feature we build: we want to help teams develop in agility by offering data of their individual actions and results, and tools for focusing on the right things - those that will take the teams towards their individual goals - be them Agility World Championships or e.g. performing a certain obstacle well and safely.
